Parkview Community FCU is dedicated to the growth and strength of the communities where our members live and work. Our participation in the community not only consists of our financial support but we give of our time as well. The credit union philosophy is "people helping people" and everyday we strive to ensure that we here at Parkview Community FCU live up to it.

Parkview Community FCU Scholarship Program

Parkview Community FCU is excited to announce its newly created scholarship program! This program was created to financially assist members who are seeking to pursue their postsecondary education. At least one (1) $500 scholarship will be awarded in July to the most worthy applicant. In order to be considered, students must complete an application and submit it before April 1.

Safety Fair

Please be sure to join us on May 17, 2008 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm for our 2nd Annual Safety Fair. The event which is FREE to the public will feature the following:

  • Child ID kit processing, bicycle safety and prevention conducted by McKeesport Weed & Seed Initiative
  • Fire prevention and education conducted by McKeesport Area Fire Department
  • Appearance by McGruff, the Crime Dog
  • Child safety seat inspections conducted by PA State Police
  • Passport processing conducted by United States Postal Service (please call the credit union for the necessary items needed for processing)
  • Document shredding conducted by Shred-it
  • Identity theft presentation conducted by USPS Financial Crimes Task Force (must RSVP no later than 5/5/08 by calling the credit union)
  • Live radio broadcast by Y108
  • Special guest appearance by Pittsburgh Steelers #69 Jason Capizzi
  • Food, fun, games, prizes, etc.

Financial Literacy Presentations

Parkview Community FCU still believes that financial literacy is the key to a good solid education and strives to make presentations to all age groups, especially school age children. PCFCU curriculum as well as Banking On Our Future (non-profit financial literacy organization) curriculum is being presented. Financial literacy presentations have been made to:

  • McKeesport Area High School; McKeesport, PA
  • McKeesport Founder's Hall; McKeesport, PA
  • Auberle's Life Skills Program; McKeesport, PA
  • Auberle's Movin' On Transitional Housing Program; Duquesne, PA
  • Serra Catholic High School; McKeesport, PA


Student Mentoring

Parkview Community FCU continues to provide career mentoring to students in the McKeesport Area High School through CLAAY (Center for Competitive Workforce Development), a program provided through Duquesne University.
